Audio System

5 Driver Speaker System 4 active drivers, including 2 precision tweeters and 2 mid-woofers, plus 1 passive radiator which provides additional bass augmentation.

Class D Digital Amplification 4 channels of Class D digital amplification provide high efficiency, lowest distortion and widest dynamic range.

Auxiliary Analogue Line Input The 3.5mm stereo analogue auxiliary line input lets users connect a device with analog stereo output directly to the HEOS 5 HS2.

Stereo Pair Operation For the ultimate in stereo listening, you can configure 2 HEOS 5 (HS2) speakers to work together as a stereo pair (1 as the left speaker, and 1 as the right speaker).

Music Subscription Services The HEOS app lets you choose from popular subscription streaming services including Spotify, TuneIn, SoundCloud, TIDAL, Deezer, Napster and Mood:Mix. More services will be added soon.

One of the most well-equipped contenders to take on Sonos at the game it knows so well. It's similarly priced, equally stylish, wonderfully simple to use and includes a few great features that, as yet, Sonos has overlooked.

The HEOS by Denon range is a versatile multiroom audio system that offers considerable expansion possibilities. Of the three active speakers, the 5 and 7 impress with their musicality and presence, while the Link provides a simple way to merge an existing theatre room or environment into the mix.
While the HEOS app (pictured above) offers some powerful functionality, it’s the commitment to offer a wide range of control system drivers, and the support of AWE, which will really install confidence in the system. With more HEOS enabled products due this year (what’s the betting on HEOS enabled AVRs and soundbars before the year is out?), we rate this the multiroom audio system to listen out for during 2015
